Brad is a partner at Fasken Martineau. His practice is focused on corporate and securities law with an emphasis on mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism and corporate finance. Brad represents bidders and targets across a broad range of industries in connection with public and private transactions. He has been involved in a significant number of contested situations, including hostile bids, topping offers and proxy contests, and has significant experience advising boards and special committees in connection with such matters. Brad also regularly acts for issuers and investment dealers in connection with public and private offerings of debt and equity securities, including in connection with initial public offerings and qualifying transactions.

Brad has co-authored several empirical studies on hostile bids and proxy contests completed in Canada that have received widespread coverage, including being featured on the Business News Network and Bloomberg TV Canada and on the Harvard Law School Forum on Corporate Governance and Financial Regulation.

Outside of his practice Brad is a director of Epilepsy Toronto, a non-profit agency that has supported people living with epilepsy for over 50 years. Brad is also involved with the Sunny View Youth Involvement Association, the focus of which is to provide support for, and enhance the programming provided at Sunny View Public School, a congregated special education setting for students with high physical and health needs.
