Shahrooz Nabavi is recognized as a leading Canadian venture capital and emerging technology lawyer. A Partner in Fasken’s Emerging Technology and Venture Capital Group, Shahrooz is also member of the firm’s Mergers & Acquisitions and Private Equity Group, advising on complex strategic, corporate and financing transactions.

Shahrooz’s practice focuses on corporate transactions, venture capital financings, M&A, and strategic partnerships for high-growth, innovation-driven companies and their investors. He represents some of Canada’s leading companies in climate tech, deep tech, fintech, and health technology, guiding founders, scale-ups, and institutional investors through the full company lifecycle.

A trusted advisor on corporate governance, Shahrooz serves as Corporate Secretary to numerous later-stage, institutionally backed high-growth technology companies and regularly counsels CEOs, boards, and special committees. He has also served as a director on several non-profit boards, demonstrating his commitment to leadership and community engagement.

Shahrooz is recognized by Lexpert and Best Lawyers in Canada as a leading lawyer in technology transactions, venture capital, M&A, corporate finance, and securities law.
