Stéphane Fillion practises in all areas relating to labour and employment law, from collective labour relations, individual employment contracts and human rights, to labour standards, workplace health and safety, questions relating to the Charter of the French language and other related issues.
Accordingly, Stéphane makes representations before most of the administrative tribunals in labour and employment matters, such as grievance arbitrators, the Labour Relations Commission, the Commission des lésions professionnelles, the CSST, the Québec and Canadian Human Rights Commissions, the Access to Information Commission as well as various civil courts, including the Québec Court, the Superior Court and the Court of Appeal.
Furthermore, Stéphane has developed a thorough expertise with regard to collective agreement bargaining. He has acted as chief negotiator on numerous occasions, and has been an outside counsel for the preparation of collective agreement provisions and the establishment of bargaining strategies. Stéphane is frequently retained in conflict resolutions, both through tribunals and conciliation processes.
Stéphane has also developed a particular expertise with regard to various problems arising from the administration of supplemental pension plans.
What is more, Stéphane speaks at conferences organized by external organizations and presents personalized training sessions to clients on such topics as managing disciplinary records, preparing arbitrations and dealing with psychological harassment.
