Sophie Arseneault is a member of the Labour, Employment & Human Rights and Litigation practice groups in Fasken Martineau's Ottawa office.

In her labour and employment practice, Sophie advises private and public sector employers as well as employers in the construction industry on a variety of employment law and labour relations matters, including employment standards, labour relations, wrongful dismissal claims, human rights complaints and a wide range of proceedings before the Ontario Labour Relations Board. Sophie works with both unionized and non-unionized employers in various industries and represented their interests by appearing before several levels of court and tribunals in civil, criminal and quasi-criminal matters.

In her litigation practice, Sophie advises businesses in various industries on a variety of commercial and civil matters, including breaches of contract and negligence.

A graduate from the French Common Law program at the University of Ottawa, Sophie held the position of Criminal Law Caseworker at the University of Ottawa Community Legal Clinic. In that capacity, she represented clients charged with summary offences under the Criminal Code of Canada and with provincial offences under the Provincial Offences Act.

Sophie practices law in both French and English.
