Lift Technologies sold to Calvi Holding

On August 14, 2008, Lift Technologies Inc. announced that it had been acquired by Calvi Holding Srl of Italy. Lift, formerly headquartered in Canada, is a global leader in the design, assembly, manufacture and sale of masts, carriages, integral side shifters and integral fork positioners for vehicles serving in the material handling industry, with a strong presence in Westminster, South Carolina and Piacenza, Italy. Terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

Calvi was advised by Stefano Mechelli of Milan, Italy and a team from Fasken Martineau that included, among others, Richard Steinberg and Don Dalik (securities); Don Weaver, David Johnson and David Ferris (banking); Rosalind Cooper (environmental); Mitchell Thaw (tax); and Alix Herber (labour).
