It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Lloyd Symons, our colleague and partner in our Calgary office. Lloyd passed peacefully on May 19, 2012 at the age of 46. Lloyd is survived by his wife Nicole and his two daughters, Cassandra and Mackenzie.
Lloyd graduated in 1991 with a Bachelor of Commerce from the University of British Columbia and obtained his Bachelor of Laws degree from Dalhousie University in 1994. His distinguished career as a respected specialist in corporate finance spanned over 16 years. Lloyd joined Fasken Martineau as a partner on September 13, 2010. Throughout his career, Lloyd mentored many students and associates and led by example in demonstrating understanding, empathy and a client first approach when leading clients through difficult times.
Lloyd will be missed by colleagues and clients alike but, most of all, by members of his family.
Those wishing to pay their respects may do so at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) prior to the Memorial Service. A Memorial Services will be held at McINNIS & HOLLOWAY'S Park Memorial Chapel (5008 Elbow Drive S.W., Calgary, AB) on Sunday, May 27, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. Condolences may be forwarded through www.mcinnisandholloway.com. Flowers will be graciously accepted. In living memory of Lloyd Symons, a tree will be planted at Fish Creek Provincial Park.
