Toronto (Canada) – Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, has wrapped up its first annual legal Symposium in Toronto.

"We had a simple goal: to bring together in-house counsels in a venue that promotes networking and continuous education. I'm happy to report that Fasken Martineau Institute has reached its goal and we can already say with confidence that we will meet again next year for another Symposium in Toronto," said Martin Denyes, Fasken Martineau's Managing Partner in Ontario.

The Toronto Symposium's workshops addressed a variety of legal topics, such as electronic evidence and e-discovery, insider trading in the information age, new rules for letters of intent and oral contracts, and many more. These workshops may count for up to three hours of education credit with the Law Society of Upper Canada.

Symposiums have become a trade-mark of Fasken Martineau. Montréal's 3rd Symposium will be held May 10, while the Ottawa office will host its Symposium the next day, May 11. The Vancouver office will host its annual Symposium in October 2011.
