Movement at the Heart of Fasken Martineau: Three Professionals Join the Firm

It is with great pleasure that Claude Auger, Managing Partner of the Montréal and Québec City offices of Fasken Martineau, announces the arrival of three professionals.
Sonia Rainville, Notary, is the newest partner of the Real Estate group, recognized as the largest and most dynamic in Quebec. With more than fifteen years of experience, the last ten with Stikeman Elliott, Ms. Rainville is specialized in real estate law. She has advised clients in the context of acquisitions and sales of commercial, industrial and multi-residential properties, and is versed in real estate financing issues as well as in the research and drafting of exhaustive titles of ownership. Ms. Rainville completed her bachelor of law at the Université de Sherbrooke and holds a diploma of notarial law from the Chambre des notaires du Québec.
Olivier Provost-Cao joins the firm as a trainee patent agent. Mr. Provost-Cao completed a bachelor degree in mechanical engineering at the Université de Sherbrooke in December 2007.
The firm also extends a warm welcome to Linda Martin, who steps in as Director of Accounting and Financial Services. Ms. Martin possesses a strong background, drawing on nearly thirty years of experience in accounting, of which seventeen were spent in the professional services sector. She was the director of finance and administration at PriceWaterhouseCoopers from 1992 to 1998, before orienting herself towards the legal community and becoming director of finance and administration at the firm Davies Ward Phillips & Vineberg. Ms. Martin is a member of the Ordre des comptables généraux licenciés (C.G.A.) du Québec and is very active in the Association des administrateurs légaux, for which she acts as administrator and treasurer in the Quebec region.
