In this case, Paul Monahan acted as lead counsel for a senior executive defending a claim concerning post-employment obligations and a counterclaim over the executive's claim to entitlements under a phantom option bonus scheme. The action concerning post-employment obligations was settled prior to trial and the bonus claim went to trial on the commercial list in Toronto in 2004. The case was settled after two days of trial.
