In the first of a series of monthly seminars, the Life Sciences Group at Fasken Martineau invites you to its October presentation on outsourcing in the life sciences. 

Our guest speaker, George Chan of Rouse & Co International, will discuss best practices for outsourcing to China of Canadian life science technology, and associated research and development, including: 

  • Outsourcing to China and IP ownership risks
  • Chinese mandatory laws and regulations
  • Contractual terms for Chinese agreements

Mark Penner will also expand on current issues confronting life science companies when commercializing technology in a global environment, including:   

  • Common mistakes when commercializing life science developments and how to avoid them
  • IP issues to consider when commercializing life science developments
  • Canadian issues surrounding outsourcing for life science companies
