On 6 January 2012, Perbadanan Nasional Berhad (PNS), a Malaysian sovereign fund, completed its divestment of a UK held investee company involved in F&B businesses for an undisclosed sum. The investment was initially made by PNS as part of the Malaysian Kitchen programme launched by the Malaysian government under the 9th Malaysian Plan in 2006, with the primary objective of expanding Malaysian restaurants overseas. The divestment was agreed between PNS and the investee shareholder after few years of investment by PNS.
