PwC acquires MTS Allstream's Professional Services consulting group

On January 31, 2010, PricewaterhouseCoopers Canada (PwC) closed the previously-announced acquisition of the Professional Services consulting group of MTS Allstream, a subsidiary of Manitoba Telecom Services Inc., effective February 1, 2010.
The acquisition includes client contracts, largely in the public and financial services sectors, and approximately 180 consulting professionals with expertise in enterprise applications, information management, security consulting, and project management located primarily in Toronto, Ottawa, Quebec, Edmonton, St. John's and Halifax. The business acquired by PwC represents annual revenues of approximately $50 million. The acquisition will enhance PwC 's technology service capabilities and expand its client base.
PwC was represented by Fasken Martineau with a team comprised of Scott Conover, Andrew Alleyne, Michael Shour, Laura Fetter, Andrew Derksen, and Gabriel Stern (corporate); Alix Herber (labour & employment); and articling students Kate Sangster-Poole, Andrew Teehan, Lindsey Weppler, and Sean Yang.
