On December 10, 2008, SNC-Lavalin announced that its Qualitas Division had acquired Quéformat Ltd., a 35 year old Longueuil, Quebec firm specializing in materials engineering, geotechnology and environmental sciences, and roofs and waterproofing. Quéformat's 115 employees will bring Qualitas employees to a total of nearly 800.
SNC-Lavalin is one of the leading engineering and construction groups in the world and a major player in the ownership of infrastructure, and in the provision of operations and maintenance services.
