Rainmaker converts from income trust to corporation
On August 1, 2008, Rainmaker Income Fund (the "Fund") (TSX:RNK.UN) and Rainmaker Entertainment Inc. announced the closing of a plan of arrangement under which the Fund converted from an income trust into a growth-oriented corporation.
The Fund was advised by a team from Fasken Martineau led by Iain Mant and that included Mitch McCormick and Amanda MacAdams (securities), Frank Schober and Kate Seniowski (tax), and Andrew Jackson (banking).
