Kitimat Modernization Project
Acted for employers in the development of the labour strategy for the Kitimat Modernization Project. This is a $2 billion construction project to essentially replace the Kitimat aluminum smelter. In 2008 the employers' association successfully negotiated a project labour agreement with all of the major building trades which also made special provision for local and native participation.
