Rod Ferguson is a Partner in the Calgary office of Fasken Martineau, specializing in Securities and Corporate Law. Rod was involved in the largest Canadian corporate IPO of 2006, acting for Addax Petroleum, the largest independent oil and gas producer in Nigeria. Prior to joining Fasken Martineau in October 2004, Mr. Ferguson was a founding partner of the Calgary office of Heenan Blaikie LLP and prior thereto Rod practiced securities, corporate and energy law at another prominent Calgary law firm. Rod has gained vast experience in acting for clients on a wide variety of innovative corporate financings and acquisitions in the resource and technology sectors. Rod was one of the architects of Canada's first publicly-traded royalty trust, Enerplus Resources Fund, in 1986.
