Roy Bornmann

Articling Student
Roy is a graduate of the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, he obtained a B.A. in Modern European Studies from the University of British Columbia. During the summer of 2009 Roy interned, through an S.L.S. Public Interest Fellowship, for the Brian Dickson Circle representing low income clients facing a variety of legal issues. He has worked as the Manager of Regulatory Services at the College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia, prior to which he founded and operated Lapin Communications, a consulting firm that provided strategic communications advice, project development and project management. He has acted as an Advisor to the Minister of the Environment and the Minister of Multiculturalism, and he was the Executive Director of the Liberal Party of Canada in British Columbia. At the University of Toronto, Roy was a member of the Upper Year Corporate and Securities Moot Team, the First Year Competitive Moot Team, and a volunteer with Pro Bono Students Canada and Downtown Legal Services. He has also volunteered with the BC Centre for Ability Foundation, and the Royal Canadian Army Cadets. Roy enjoys travelling, reading, cooking and hiking.

Roy summered at the Firm in 2010 and was seconded to the Ontario Securities Commission.
