Sébastien Gobeil specializes in labour law, with a particular emphasis on labour relations and occupational health and safety. His practice focuses on grievance adjudications, the interpretation of collective agreements, labour standards, psychological harassment and workplace injuries.
Sébastien is often called upon to advise clients on matters related to labour law, including termination of employment, non-competition and confidentiality obligations, individual employment agreements and employment injuries. Sébastien pleads before arbitration boards, specialized tribunals and higher courts. He also acts in connection with files on human rights and the protection of personal information.
He gives presentations before the Centre de formation patronale-syndicale in Manitoba and for Lorman Education Services in the United States, addressing a variety of topics including the protection of personal information, employment contracts, dismissals and human rights.
He has lead training sessions for employers in their workplace or as part of lunchtime conferences on a variety of labour law subjects, including psychological harassment, managing absenteeism and last-chance agreements.
