SkyePharma announces restructuring of convertible bonds, capital reconstruction, placing and open offer by way of prospectus on Main Market of LSE

On September 25, 2008, SkyePharma Plc announced that the restructuring of its 2004 and 2005 Bonds had been formally approved by its bondholders, resulting in the completion of its share capital reorganization together with the placement of 14,017,807 Consolidated New Ordinary Shares to raise £21 million and their admission to the Official List of the London Stock Exchange.

The Consolidated New Ordinary Shares were placed by Credit Suisse and Piper Jaffray, the company's brokers and the fund-raising was made in conjunction with the restructuring of the 2024 and 2025 bonds.

Fasken Martineau advised SkyePharma with regard to the prospectus dealing with these matters with a team led by June Paddock with support from Michael Kashis, Minay Mahidharia and Yasmina Hadded, as well as in the later stages from Nicholas Narraway, Mun-Ling Logue and Claire Mitchell.
