Stanley Martin has practiced litigation at Fasken Martineau since 1980. As a member of the Commercial Litigation Group, he is involved in a wide range of cases, including statutory and contract interpretation and fiduciary duty issues. Currently, Stanley's practice concentrates on constitutional law, where he has acted as co-counsel on the first appeal to the Supreme Court of Canada on equality rights under the Charter; charities, not-for-profits and trusts, where he has acted on trust disputes as well as internal and external disputes for charities in particular religious institutions; partnership law where he frequently advises on partnership issues, and has acted as counsel and arbitrator; and, finally, health law where he has advised on issues relating to Medicare.
