Toronto International Film Festival secures $46 million loan from Ontario Infrastructure Projects Corporation
On July 15, 2009, the Toronto International Film Festival Inc. ("TIFF") secured a $46 million loan from Ontario Infrastructure Projects Corporation for the construction of the Bell Lightbox in downtown Toronto.
The Bell Lightbox is a 5 storey, 150,000 square foot office/cinema/retail building within a larger mixed use project co-developed by The Daniels Corporation and the Reitman family. The project includes approximately 35 storeys of residential condominiums, other retail space and underground parking.
Mark Brennan and Dugan Edmison of Fasken Martineau advised TIFF in the negotiation of this loan.
