Eric Simard is co-president of the Commercial Litigation section, and also leads the Construction Practice Group. He practices civil and commercial litigation, working primarily in complex litigation and in class action defence. He is also called upon to represent clients in matters relating to injunctive and safeguard proceedings.
Eric regularly pleads in arbitration matters and before the trial courts, and has represented his clients before the Supreme Court of Canada. In the context of globalization, he is consulted by many major foreign manufacturers and suppliers engaging in economic activity in Canada under distribution agreements and contracts for services.
Known for the relevance and the soundness of his advice, Eric offers concrete and innovative solutions to his clients from the private, public and para-public sectors.
He is a regular guest lecturer in his field and has also published numerous articles, particularly on termination of contracts for services and the damages that may result.

Individual recipient of the Canadian Bar Association prize for the excellence of his oral and written pleas at the Pierre-Basile Mignault competition.
