Eric Simard is a senior partner at Fasken Martineau DuMoulin. He practices in construction law, product liability as well as civil and commercial litigation. His practice in commercial litigation primarily involves complex litigation as well as class actions. In addition, he heads up Fasken's Construction Practice Group for the Quebec region.
Eric has extensive advocacy experience, appearing regularly before courts at both the trial and appellate levels. He has also represented his clients before the Supreme Court of Canada, namely in the Vasquez and Rogers Wireless cases. Furthermore, he has acted as legal counsel in a number of commercial arbitration cases (Robertson Building). He is also called upon to represent clients in matters relating to injunctive and safeguard proceedings.
Known for the relevance and the soundness of his advice, he offers practical and innovative solutions to his clients from the private, public and para-public sectors.
In the context of globalization, Eric is consulted by many major foreign manufacturers and suppliers that engage in economic activities in Canada under distribution and joint venture agreements.
