Fasken Martineau lawyers lead deal valued at more than $8 billion

Fasken Martineau, a leading international law firm, announced today that the firm, led by Richard Steinberg and John Turner, is acting on behalf of Addax Petroleum in its acquisition by Sinopec International Petroleum Exploration and Production Company (SIPC).
This deal is worth 9 billion dollars and is the largest acquisition ever by a Chinese state owned company. The sheer size of the deal makes it unique in the current economic climate.
