Help for Haiti: Fasken Martineau staff and lawyers donate more than $100,000 to Haitian relief efforts

Toronto (Canada) - Fasken Martineau, a leading international business law and litigation firm, announced today that its staff and lawyers, as well as the firm itself, have donated $111,406.50 to disaster relief efforts in Haiti.
“The generosity and compassion of our staff and lawyers has been overwhelming. Some of our colleagues have family in Haiti, which made the devastation more personal for us,” said David Corbett, firm managing partner of Fasken Martineau.
To date the firm’s staff and lawyers have contributed $86,406.50 to charities involved in Haiti relief efforts. The firm pledged to match contributions up to $25,000, bringing the total donations to $111,406.50. The donations have been made to The Canadian Red Cross, World Vision, Doctors Without Borders and other relief agencies.
