Howard M. Carr

Howard Carr has specialized in all major areas of estate planning, including: wills and trusts, estates and post-mortem estate planning, estate freezing, cross-border and international, marriage contracts and charities. A major aspect of his practice is succession planning, and he has been involved in both contentious and non-contentious family situations. Howard has acted as a facilitator in a number of family planning transactions. He also has advised extensively on estate litigation matters.

Howard has written and lectured extensively in the estate planning field, including articles and talks for the Canadian Tax Foundation, the Law Society of Upper Canada and the Canadian Bar Association. He has lectured on estate planning at the Bar Admission Course and has taught the subject at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Law.

Howard has practised his specialty for over thirty years. He joined the firm in 1995 and became a partner in 1996.
