Jean Michel Lapierre practices business law, focusing primarily in the field of securities and mergers and acquisitions.
Mr. Lapierre has collaborated on a number of complex transactions on behalf of major private and publicly-traded corporations, such as the purchase, sale, financing and restructuring of businesses in Canada and abroad. A significant part of his practice involves advising publicly-traded corporations concerning continuous disclosure obligations, corporate governance issues and general corporate matters. He has advised corporations operating in various sectors, such as information technology, telecommunications, biotechnology, aerospace, energy, mining, construction, retail, video games and financial services.
Mr. Lapierre received his LLB from Université de Montréal in 2004. He articled at the firm and was called to the Québec bar in 2005.
