Jenny P. Mboutsiadis is a partner and a tax litigator with the Tax Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group in Fasken Martineau’s Toronto office. She is a specialist and an expert in litigating corporate tax matters. Jenny has extensive successful courtroom experience arguing tax cases as lead counsel in the Tax Court of Canada, the Ontario Superior Court of Justice, the Federal Court, and the Federal Court of Appeal. Many of her cases have set precedent. She recently spent eleven years as a highly respected tax litigator for the Department of Justice Canada. Prior to that, she was a tax litigator at a leading Bay Street law firm.

Jenny is very effective at resolving tax disputes with Canadian tax authorities. Her cases have involved tax issues such as the GAAR and tax avoidance, transfer pricing rules, interest, tax residency, business expenses, gross negligence penalties, G.S.T., treaty interpretation, and the large corporation rules.

Jenny is known for her skillful and efficient conduct of trials. She regularly instructs other litigators on trial advocacy and discovery skills, as well as on how to be effective and efficient in Court and in practice.
