Julia Kennedy

Julia is an associate in the firm's Ottawa office. Her practice includes a broad range of employment, communications and corporate commercial law matters.

Before joining the Firm, Julia studied law at McGill University where she was the Managing Editor of the Journal of Sustainable Development Law & Policy. She won Best Defence in the Cybertribunal, an international commercial arbitration moot. Julia spent her first year of law school at Queen's University where she was placed on the Dean's Honor List before returning to McGill and graduating with Great Distinction. She has previously worked as a Work Permit Specialist helping Canadian employers successfully bring international professionals to Canada and as a research assistant in tax law.

Julia also studied Quebec civil law prior to articling with the firm in 2009.
