Overview

Brad’s practice is focused on the public capital markets, including mergers and acquisitions, corporate finance and shareholder activism. Known for his practical, results-oriented approach, Brad is a trusted strategic advisor to clients navigating complex transactions. Brad has been involved in some of Canada’s highest-profile M&A transactions and proxy fights and utilizes that experience to help his clients achieve their objectives.

Brad has significant experience acting for domestic and foreign companies in connection with M&A transactions across a wide range of industries with a particular emphasis on mining. In addition, Brad has significant experience with contested situations, including hostile take-over bids, take-over bid defense and topping bids, and advising boards of directors and special committees in connection with significant transactions involving conflicts of interest. Brad also regularly acts for target companies and activist investors in connection with shareholder activism and proxy contests. Brad also has significant capital markets experience, regularly acting for public companies, investment banks and strategic investors on IPOs, secondary offerings and strategic investments.
