Bruce R. Grist

Partner

Bruce R. Grist practices labour, employment and human rights law. He provides legal advice on all matters related to employment in both the private and public sectors including federally and provincially regulated employers. He gives proactive advice and provides both training and seminars to clients to educate clients as to their rights and responsibilities with respect to employment, labour and human rights issues. He additionally shares knowledge with members of the Human Resources Management Association of British Columbia, Continuing Legal Education Society of British Columbia and the Labour Law Section, Canadian Bar Association.

While providing proactive advice to prevent issues from arising, Bruce also acts as counsel in arbitrations, Labour Relations Board hearings, Human Rights Tribunal hearings and has acted as counsel in all levels of court including the Supreme Court of Canada on labour, employment and human rights matters. Bruce has acted as counsel to employers in approximately 200 arbitrations in both the federal and provincial jurisdictions. He has acted as counsel in arbitrations in British Columbia, Alberta, Manitoba, the Yukon and the Northwest Territories. Bruce has represented employers in over 100 Labour Relations Board hearings, court cases and human rights hearings. He has been named as one of the top lawyers in Canada in the labour and employment category.
