Judge Rejects Overtime Class Action Suit Against CIBC

Yesterday, in the first decision of its kind in Canada, the Ontario Superior Court refused to certify a class proceeding against CIBC in which the representative plaintiff was seeking compensation of more than $500 million for unpaid overtime for upwards of 31,000 current and former employees.
