Managing in a Union Environment

Several fundamental concepts related to managing a union workforce will be reviewed. Topics include understanding the employer’s right to direct and manage its union workforce, utilizing the concept of “progressive discipline” in the face of work-related misconduct on the part of a union employee, and dealing with non-culpable problems where there is no fault on the part of the union employee (such as innocent and excessive absenteeism).

Cost: $350 ($367.50 including GST). Payment must be made in advance by credit card or cheque (Payable to: Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP).

Cancellation and Refund Policy:

Anyone who provides cancellation notice to us at least five (5) business days in advance of the scheduled date of the workshop will receive a fee refund less 10% administration fee. No refund will be provided to a registrant who cancels with less than five (5) business days’ advance notice.

Registrants are entitled to send a substitute; advance notice is required.
