His practice also continues as a research lawyer and he is frequently engaged in litigation and non-litigation matters to address difficult legal issues from every area of law, including corporate, commercial, securities, constitutional, administrative, aboriginal, insurance regulation, accounting regulation and trusts.
Murray's legal versatility and research skills have attracted engagements in unique briefs requiring the invention of novel institutional approaches to accommodate regulatory and constitutional limitations. Such briefs include the design and formation of the Canadian Public Accountability Board to enable accounting oversight in the manner of Sarbanes-Oxley within the Canadian constitutional context of divided provincial jurisdictions over both securities and accounting regulation.
