Nigel Gordon

Nigel Gordon is a partner in Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP and Fasken Martineau LLP (London) and a member of the Corporate / Commercial and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) practice groups. Nigel also leads the Global Mining Group in London.

Nigel's practice focuses on capital markets and a combination of capital raising and mergers and acquisitions. He also regularly represents entrepreneurial growing companies, both public and private. Nigel has been actively involved in the AIM Market since its inception in 1995, and has acted as company secretary to a number of listed and AIM companies. Nigel aims to provide practical advice and is able to balance the differing demands and business practices of capital providers with the needs of his entrepreneur clients, whose desires are generally focused more on concluding a transaction than on technical detail. While Nigel represents clients across industries ranging from casinos to oil companies, his practice has some emphasis on the natural resources, life sciences and financial services sectors. He has lectured on the practical requirements on bringing natural resources companies to market and on corporate governance issues. Nigel has extensive experience in court-based corporate procedures such as schemes of arrangement and share capital reductions in order to achieve the business objectives of clients.
