The team in Paris provides highly specialized business law services involving cross-border transactions, mergers and acquisitions (M&A), commercial and corporate law, private equity and investment funds, projects and transactions in Africa, natural resources (including mining and energy), infrastructure and public-private partnerships, financings, real estate and hospitality, EU regulations, environmental law, IT, anti-trust and competition matters, and French and international litigation and arbitration.

With a clear understanding of the global business environment, the lawyers in Paris provide international companies with an efficient, pragmatic approach when dealing with French, EU and French African laws. Several members of the Paris team received their legal training in Canada, allowing them to advise clients on both French and Canadian business law.

Fasken Martineau established the Paris office in September 2009 through a merger with Gravel, Leclerc & Associés, one of France’s top international business law firms. The local team also includes several senior lawyers who joined the firm at the time of the merger from another international business law firm’s office in Paris.

With offices in both London and Paris, Fasken Martineau has the largest presence in Europe of any Canadian-based law firm.
