Ruth Hickling

Ruth Hickling is a partner in Fasken Martineau LLP (London) and is the head of the London's Employment practice group.

Ruth acts for a range of clients from start-ups to listed companies across a variety of business sectors including pharmaceutical and corporate finance. She has extensive experience of large scale redundancy and restructuring programmes, varying terms and conditions of employment, site closures, along with smaller-scale and individual dismissals. Ruth advises on the employment aspects on many of our corporate transactions including mergers and acquisitions and has been involved with numerous large scale TUPE transactions providing practical advice and guidance.

Ruth also advises on all aspects of U.K. employment relationships including drafting and enforcing confidentiality and post termination restrictive covenants. Ruth has extensive experience of board room disputes and executive terminations acting for both employers and senior executives.

Ruth provides employment advice to charities including The Anne Frank Trust, St Andrew's Charitable Trust, Pets as Therapy and the Foundation for the Study of Infant Death (FSID).  She has presented numerous seminars, both public and in house, on employment law related subjects.
