Partner
Robert Paydon is a partner at Fasken Martineau LLP (London) and head of London's Litigation and Dispute Resolution practice group.
Robert deals with a wide range of contentious matters, including in the banking and regulatory areas (for example FSA enquiries and accountants disciplinary proceedings), contractual, company and shareholder disputes and litigation involving commercial agents. Robert regularly advises on 'conflict of laws' issues and a significant part of his work involves disputes spanning across a number of jurisdictions.
Robert has a focus on insolvency and he advises office holders as well as creditors and debtors across a range of insolvency issues. He is also concerned with the protection of corporate and individual reputations (particularly through the law of defamation and privacy) and he leads the firm's cross-departmental Reputation Management team.
Robert's experience covers the full extent of the litigation process, from risk management and pre-action advice through to trial, proceedings in the appellate courts and enforcement, as well as involvement in international arbitration.
