Fasken wins "Best Looking Team" at U-Ottawa Volley-Ball Tournament!

OK, we didn't win "Best Looking Team" or the trophy for first place, but that won't stop us from trying again next year!

The Business Law Student Society and OLSAR (Ottawa Law Students Aren't Rats) organized a fantastic volley-ball tournament on November 7, 2008.  Firms in Ottawa were asked to sponsor a team and send a few of their own members to play with law students at the university.  It was a great way for lawyers and students to meet informally and have fun.  The event was very well attended and well organized.  After the finals, everyone was invited to the on-campus pub for free food and beer. 

Congratulations to BLG for winning the first BLSS Cup (first place) and Blakes for winning the OLSAR Cup (second place).  Hope you both enjoyed winning this year, because next year, Fasken is making a come back.  We have already started training, so watch out.
