Marek Nitoslawski is a seasoned IP litigator.  He assists clients in maximizing the protection of their intellectual property assets and in all manner of dispute resolution.

Marek’s practice focuses on providing strategic advice to businesses large and small in various industries including aerospace, AI, robotics, recreational vehicles and luxury goods. He also advises broadcasters and other content providers on Internet-related issues.

 

His expertise extends to all forms of IP: patents, trademarks, copyright, industrial designs, trade secrets and unfair competition.  Much of his practice is devoted to the strategic management of large trademark portfolios.  He has a particular affinity for non-conventional marks and using a combination of IP rights to extract maximum added value for clients.

 

He has successfully argued cases before the Federal courts, the Quebec Superior Court, the Supreme Court of Canada, the Copyright Board and the International Chamber of Commerce (Paris).  His most recent victories involve complex transnational patent litigation which required coordination with counsel in various other jurisdictions, including the US.

 

Mr. Nitoslawski is a popular, well-respected speaker and is recognized for his leading expertise in Intellectual Property in Canada’s Best Lawyers, WIPR World Leaders, IAM Patents 1000, WTR 1000, Legal Who’s Who and Lexpert.
