Alison Lacy’s practice is focused on procurement and project development for large capital projects. Alison has significant experience in mining, energy and infrastructure projects.

Alison has assisted with the procurement, development and financing aspects of mining projects in Panama, Cuba, Chile, Peru, Mexico and Madagascar. In the electricity and resource sectors, Alison has worked on transactions in Canada, Chile, Argentina, Brazil, Bolivia, Mexico, Colombia, Uruguay, China and India.

Currently involved in the infrastructure aspects of mining projects in Chile, Peru and Panama, Alison’s expertise has been recognized by Chambers Global and the Canadian Legal Lexpert Directory. She is a fluent Spanish speaker.

Community involvement

Alison has guest-lectured to a Project Finance class at Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto. She has also spoken in Brazil and China on issues to consider in making international investments. As a member of a Canadian delegation of judges, professors and lawyers, Alison lectured on international law at the National College of Judges in Beijing, China.
