Andrew Gunpat is currently attending the University of Windsor, Faculty of Law. Prior to law school, he obtained a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Public Management at the University of Guelph where he graduated with distinction. He also holds a Certificate in Leadership from the University of Guelph. During the summer of 2017, Andrew worked as a Research Assistant researching potential misrepresentation and deception by internet and e-commerce organizations. His past work experience includes working as a Business Analyst and Product Specialist for Scotiabank, a Research Associate for the Ontario Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and an Excise Tax Examiner for the Canada Revenue Agency. During his undergrad, Andrew was the President and Co-Founder of the Public Management Student Association, Vice-President of the Pre-Law Society, and a member of the West Indian Student Association. At law school, Andrew worked for Pro Bono Students Canada assisting a non-profit credit counselling organization with legal research relating to financial disclosures and regulatory compliance. He is also a member of various business law clubs on campus. Andrew enjoys travelling, playing golf, and avidly cheering on the Toronto Blue Jays, Raptors, and Maple Leafs. He plays drums and piano and is accredited to teach piano through the Royal Conservatory of Music. He is also a black belt in Taekwondo and was a Senior Instructor and Trainer.
Andrew summered at the Firm in 2018 and was seconded to Manulife.
