Ao Chen joined the Fasken team in the summer of 2015 after his second year of law school as a transfer student in McGill University’s BCL/LLB program. He previously studied at University of Sherbrooke in the LLB/MBA program. Alongside his legal studies, Ao completed a graduate-level program in business administration at the University of Sherbrooke. During his academic career, he volunteered for Pro Bono Students Canada and was involved in various clubs and committees. In 2016, Ao was selected by McGill’s Faculty of Law to study Chinese law and global food safety governance at Shantou University.
Ao is passionate about international affairs and represented Marianopolis College at numerous Model United Nations conferences for which he received several distinctions. He continues to be involved in Model UN by organizing McGill Model United Nations, an undergraduate-level conference hosting more than a hundred universities from around the world.
In his spare time, Ao enjoys photography, fitness training and playing the violin.
