Carrie is a member of the Litigation and Dispute Resolution Group in our Calgary office. She has experience representing clients in matters before the Court of Queen’s Bench of Alberta, the Provincial Court of Alberta, The Alberta Energy Regulator, and the Surface Rights Board.
Carrie advises clients ranging from locally-owned businesses and farms to large corporations. She has helped these clients navigate a variety of litigation and dispute resolution issues including negligence claims, contract breaches, and regulatory matters. She gained experience in the energy sector working in-house for an energy company as a summer student in law school.
Carrie also practices in the areas of privacy and cybersecurity, including working with clients to respond quickly and effectively to privacy and data breaches. She helps clients develop privacy policies and procedures in compliance with applicable privacy legislation, and has experience making and responding to requests for access to information.
Carrie won first place in the Borden Ladner Gervais Trial Competition in 2013 and received the Sheldon M. Chumir Award in Ethics, Human Rights and Civil Liberties in 2015.
Carrie served as secretary of her community association for the past two years. While completing her undergraduate degree and law degree, she volunteered with the World University Service of Canada's Student Refugee Program.
