Charles Turmel first worked for Fasken in summer 2020 as a law student following his graduation from the Université de Sherbrooke’s Faculty of Law. Passionate about commercial law and international relations, Charles joined the Fasken team to article with the firm in June 2021.
While at university, Charles Turmel participated in the Model United Nations in New York in March 2018, where he received the award for Best Position Paper. He also participated in a mock civil trial presided by a judge of the Court of Québec and organized in partnership with the Université de Sherbrooke’s Law Faculty.
In fall 2018, Charles studied abroad for a semester at the Université de Grenoble-Alpes, in France.
As a law student, he also worked at a law firm in civil and commercial litigation. That experience allowed him to deepen his knowledge of civil law, specifically in the fields of real estate and business law.
In addition to his passion for law, Charles enjoys running, hiking and ski touring. He is also fascinated by history and travel.
