David Pule is an associate in the Corporate and Commercial Practice Group specialising in the mining sector.
His experience in working with Mining clients includes advising on the Mineral and Petroleum Resources Development Act, 2002, specifically he drafts and lodges applications for mining rights and ancillary applications. This includes transfers and amendments of rights. He also drafts and lodges appeals and objections and appears on behalf of clients at the Department of Mineral Resources and Energy Regional Mining Development and Environmental Committee sessions.
He conducts numerous corporate and mining due diligence investigations and reports, researches and drafts opinions on various aspects of commercial and mining law, and advises local and international clients with regard to compliance issues in terms of South African prospecting and mining and general company law.
David provides regulatory advice in respect of all applicable legislation relating to mining, exploration and prospecting operations. He attends to all notarial executions and registrations of rights and drafts and attends to the registration of mortgage bonds over mining rights.
