Dustin uses they/them/he/him personal pronouns. While in law school, Dustin received the Fasken Martineau DuMoulin LLP Indigenous Entrance Scholarship, the DLA Piper (Canada) LLP Prize in Torts, and the Jack Klinck, Q.C., Indigenous Student Award. Dustin has worked as a research assistant for several professors at Allard Law, conducting research in a variety of areas of law such as environmental, Indigenous, regulatory, immigration, and torts. After graduation, Dustin will be clerking for the British Columbia Supreme Court. 

Prior to law school, Dustin worked for the federal public service as a Citizen Services Officer for the Department of Employment and Social Development Canada. Dustin has also worked for Shell Canada Limited as a production chemist intern on large-scale natural resource and infrastructure development projects in Western Canada. 

Dustin has served on the Métis Nation of British Columbia’s 2SLGBTQQIA+ Advisory Committee, Indigenous Justice Advocacy Committee for the Canadian Bar Association, and the Allard Law Student Equity and Diversity Committee.

Away from school and work, Dustin volunteers as an Indigenous Youth Mentor for the Urban Native Youth Association, a member of UNYA’s 2-Spirit Collective, and a Youth Justice Lab Facilitator for the North Shore Restorative Justice Society.
