Elise Kohno

Elise is entering her final year of law school at the University of British Columbia, where she is actively involved in student government and mentorship. During her third year, Elise will be the Vice President Academic on the Allard Law Students’ Society. She is also a student ambassador and the student coordinator for the charity Hoop-Law Basketball Tournament. Elise was selected for the 2016 Peter Burns Moot Team and was subsequently chosen to represent UBC at the MacIntyre Cup Western Final Competition in Edmonton.

She has also worked as a part-time research assistant for Professor Nikos Harris, conducting research on the admissibility of expert evidence and as the 2016 Allard Orientation Coordinator. After graduation, Elise will be clerking at the British Columbia Supreme Court. 

Elise enjoys all sports and was a member of the Women’s Varsity Soccer team at the University of Toronto while obtaining her B.A. in Criminology and Sociology. She has also coached girls soccer at a Vancouver high school, leading her team to its first lower mainland championship. Elise starts her summer articles in May.
