Individual recourses or class actions against the distributors and manufacturers of products are ubiquitous in our court system. What impact will recent decisions handed down by the Québec courts and the Supreme Court of Canada have on your business?
This training session will offer an overview of recent case law on representations, warranties and misleading advertising. We will also look at the best practices to adopt for e-commerce as well as the sale and distribution of products over the Internet. Finally, we will discuss how to draft and interpret various standard clauses commonly seen in product sale and distribution agreements.
