Tablet and smartphone devices are becoming an important tool in the medical kit of many healthcare professionals in Canada. There are over 2,500 medical apps available on iTunes alone. This proliferation of “mobile medicine” presents several novel legal challenges, including who is responsible for the regulation of medical apps, and who is responsible within the healthcare delivery system when things go wrong?
