In anticipation of Indaba Conference 2014 in Cape Town, Fasken Martineau's Global Mining Group invites you to attend a seminar. The seminar topic is Mining Companies & Surrounding Communities – Barrier or Benefit? The roundtable discussion will cover the day to day challenges that both mining companies and surrounding communities experience in respect of mining operations, including issues of access to land for mining purposes and managing relationships between the mining companies and the surrounding communities, from both South African and Canadian perspective. We are pleased to co-present with Kgosi Nyalala Molefe John Pilane, Traditional Leader of Bakgatla-Ba-Kgafela traditional community, and Herbert Medupe, Founder and Public Participation Practitioner of YaMedupi Solutions.
